We started a "Down on the farm" unit today. One of the activities was to paint black spots on a cow. :) Needless to say, my girls were not satified with only painting the dots! They also wanted to paint pictures. :) So as you see they became quite messy! I was reminded once again, why I don't like painting activities! lol Here are the rest of the pictures!

Sick days at our house

This week has been a challenge. We have all been sick and my girls are still fighting it. We have had only a little school all week due to sickness. Yesterday, Madison wanted to do something as Hannah was asleep on the couch. So we decided to make bears! She had fun coloring all the pieces and I cut everything out and attached it all together for her. Well, when Hannah woke up she wanted to make one too, so off we went to print another one and get busy coloring. :) Hannah made one mistake, she let Madison help her color some of her pages and Madison didn't want to use the right color, so she has some orange on her bear! Overall they had fun. We then had to write their names on them and I goofed and started writting Hannah's name on Madison's bear, so hers has a boo boo. lol Hope you enjoy seeing the pictures. :)

Sunday School Promotion Video

This is a video presentation I made to show for our Sunday School promotion service.

I just had to post this video of my Dad and my girls! I apologize for it being turned the wrong way. I have a habit of taking pictures this way and didn't even think about not being able to turn a video. This was a once in a lifetime video and I may never get a chance for another one like it, so I had to share!

For Christmas my oldest daughter Hannah wanted a new digital camera. Well..... we didn't get to get one. So yesterday when we did our grocery shopping, the girls ask could they spend some of their money out of their banks and we said yes. They each had $10 to spend. Then we met Terry's uncle and he gave the girls another $10 to spend so that made $20 each to spend. Well, Walmarts had a big sell on toys and things from Christmas and she found her a digital camera! She was so excited! She said I had to tell about it on my blog! lol I was a bit disappointed with the camera and even tried to get her to let me return it and let her pick something else, but she said no with tears in her eyes. So I just emailed the company and let them know my disappointment! Sorry, sometimes I just think it is necessary to let companies know when we are happy and sad about products we buy! So she is happy with the camera and the idea of taking her own pictures. Here is a picture that we took with the camera! See why I am a bit disappointed! lol Anyway, I guess for a camera for a 6 year old to use it is probably fine.

Our First Completed Lapbook!

We finally did a complete lapbook! We did the Petunia Lapbook from homeschoolshare.com . I found this one the other day, I already had the book and Hannah was already familiar with it, so I thought it would be a good start to really lapbooking. I think we are officially addicted to it too! It just makes learning so much fun! Hannah really likes being creative and I can see her doing her own lapbooks before long. She likes creating her own things so much, sometimes I think they don't make a lot of sense, but to her they make a lot of sense! lol Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing what we have been up too.

Gingerbread House!

We started a Gingerbread Lapbook a couple weeks before Christmas. We have never finished it, but we had planned to make a Gingerbread House as part of our study for our lapbook and we went ahead and made the house yesterday. The girls had a good time even though we had a few problems with getting the house to stay up. They started eating the candy as soon as we finished taking the pictures! They have been eating it a little at a time as I will allow them to have all that sugar! lol

New Years Eve

New years eve we had a few friends over from church. The kids had a blast playing. We had lots of good food and fellowship and don't forget the fireworks! Here is a picture of most of the kids, we had a couple older ones who were to big to be in the picture!
